Alain Mounir (2010)

Founder of CDO Founder of CDO

Alain Mounir was born in 1961 in Switzerland (originally from the Valais canton). With a scientific background, he identified Sensemaking as a vector for performance very early on. It was when he finished building up his working capacity while studying Microtechnology Engineering that he entered the world of work in a position that would shape his future.

It was during this first industrial experience of work - full of challenges and changes - that he rapidly produced firm results when faced with a set of requirements and problems. He quickly scaled the promotional ladder to secure the position of CEO for Switzerland in the International Group for which he worked.

Following this experience, affected by a takeover by a competing Group, he decided not to take up the offer made to him by the buyer and started his own business in 1989.

After constant continuous training over ten years (behaviour and functioning of individuals), in 2000 he wrote his first book on management and the Best Possible Conditions ("4 intelligences ... à temps!"). CDO opened a branch in Paris that same year. The key features of CDO services: pragmatism, consistency, systematic approach, unconditional respect for individuals, and a strong emphasis on expressing the potential of each and every person. "... effectiveness first and foremost means doing nothing that is of no use ..." (Musashi, Samurai)
